Antique South Persian Saddle Bag Pillow, Probably QashQa’ Tribe
This charming antique south Persian saddle bag was probably woven by a member of the QashQa’i tribe. It features stylized animals and various abstract geometric forms on a navy blue ground. It retains the original, and beautiful, flat woven “kilim” technique back and is currently stuffed as a pillow. It could easily be converted back to a simple bag for display on a wall or table.
