Fereghan Sarouk and Mohtashem Kashan Antique Carpets
Antique Fereghan Sarouk carpets and antique Sultanabad carpets, including those commissioned in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by the Anglo-Swiss firm Ziegler & Co were woven in the central Persian province that was called Sultanabad Province and the time. Eventually, the name of this province was changed to Arak Province.
Antique Kashan carpets, including those attributed to the Mohtashem Kashan (sometimes spelled Mohtasham Kashan) workshop were woven further north in central Persia in Isfahan Province.
